FAQ

Your conservatory will have no problem in holding up our tiled roofing. During installation, the ring beam of your conservatory are left in so that no strength is lost – We also use slate instead of concrete to ensure the weight of your new roof is kept to a minimum.

Yes, having one of our specially insulated roofs installed on your conservatory will help greatly when it comes to the overall energy efficiency of your property. We use Alumaflex 15-layer insulation foil which is designed to control 3 components of heat transmittance:

  • Conduction of heat through the fabric of the building
  • Convection through air movement
  • Radiant Transmission

Your conservatory will feel considerably cooler in summer and warmer in winter as a result, leading to lower heating bills while also adding value to your home.

The total duration of the project will be roughly 7 days. Scaffolding will be raised a few days before any work commences on your property – Usually we construct the scaffolding just before or over the weekend ready for us to start work on Monday morning. We endeavour to have everything finished and cleared away within 9 days of the start date.

Scaffolding will be raised at your property for 7 days, weather permitting.

The lighting features we use are latest in LED spotlight design, offering the perfect balance between efficiency and performance. They come with your choice of finish: Polished Chrome, Brushed Steel or White.

Bramwell uses real slate for fulfilling our services, not a fragile manufactured alternative. We have a range of colours available, with Spanish Grey, Brazilian Green and Welsh Blue being the most popular choices currently. If you have your eyes fixed on a specific colour, please discuss it with Simon during your home survey and we will do our best to accommodate it for you.

Please note: samples of any of our tiles can be supplied on request.

Moving all items of furniture out of the conservatory for the duration of the job is the ideal solution. If this is not possible however, they can be covered up with dust sheets. This is the responsibility of the customer and should be done prior to our workforce arriving.

After we have installed your new roof, the only thing that’s left to do is paint the ceiling and return any items of furniture. You can then sit back and enjoy your new, more comfortable living area.

Yes, we are more than happy to provide with a free no obligation quote that will detail the exact cost of your project.

We take payment from each customer following the completion of their project. No deposit is required when using our services.

This can definitely be arranged but please let us know as early as possible if you would like to see our previous work in person – We need to know in advance so that we can request permission from a client located in your area (Not all conservatory roofs can be seen from the road so it is likely we will need access to the back garden).

Alternatively, you can head over to our online portfolio where we proudly display our previous work.
